SCALP REDUCTION ACCORDING TO DR. FECHET |
This method is applied if the person is visibly bald and there is not enough hair to transplant.
Due to the elastic properties of the scalp, about 3 to 4 cm of bald scalp can be stretched and surgically removed. Then the edges of the wound can be sutured together (reduction of the bald).
The procedure is out-patient with local anesthesia and sedation. It will take place in our practice-owned operating theatre.
We do not exclude hair transplantation at a later date if the results can additionally be optimized. |
